South Andaman – อันดามันใต้

Our 4 and 5-night South Andaman liveaboard trips explore the best dive sites in the southern region, including Koh Haa Island, Koh Lipe Island, and Koh Phi Phi Island.
Liveaboards in Thailand are one of the best ways to explore the Andaman Sea, and the South Andamans provide spectacular underwater scenery and some of the best scuba diving in Thailand and beyond. The dive sites on our South Andaman Liveaboard include the pinnacles of Hin Daeng (Red Rock), Hin Muang (Purple Rock), Koh Haa (5 Islands including Koh Phi Phi and the Racha islands), and a selection of premier dive sites on route back to Phuket. Many of these locations are only accessible to a few boats, such as MV Deep Andaman Queen, and are only open for scuba diving at certain times of the year.

While many Thailand liveaboards only operate in North Andaman, we have developed this itinerary to show our guests the full variety of available underwater experiences. However, only a short distance away, diving in the South Andaman is different from what you’ll experience on our Similan Islands liveaboard, Koh Lipe Liveaboard, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang Liveaboard, or Myanmar Liveaboard. There is a mixture of pinnacles, rock islands, walls, and sloping reefs, all home to a fantastic array of soft corals and macro life. When you dive the south Andamans, you’ll have the chance to experience shark diving with leopard sharks, whale sharks, and black tips, and see pelagic marine life like manta rays.

The King Cruiser wreck is one of the most popular dive sites on our South Andaman Liveaboard itinerary. It’s the wreck of a passenger ferry that sunk back in 1997. All passengers and crew were safely evacuated, so don’t worry, it’s not a ghost ship! The wreck itself is now teeming with life and covered in soft corals with plenty of nooks, crannies, and passageways to shine your torch down.
